Setting the right user type on your profile page is super important if you want to get the most out of your account. In your personal info settings, you can easily say whether you're an individual or more of a professional user like an organization, club, or something else. This choice directly affects the features you get and the kind of communication we send you.
Your options
To update your user type, go to the 'Personal info' section on your profile page.
Under 'I use this account as' you can choose from:
- Individual
- Club
- Hospitality
- Tourism organization
- Sports/recreational organization
- Other
What your user type changes
Depending on what you choose, you’ll get access to specific features:

Visual customization
If you pick anything other than ‘individual’, you’ll be able to add a logo and header under your 'Public info'. These will show up on your profile page and also on your content like routes, POIs, events, groups, and news. It gives your profile a more professional and recognizable look.

Targeted communication
You’ll get invites to events and webinars that match your user type. That way, you won’t miss out on cool networking or learning opportunities.

Personalized news
The news you get by email or notifications will be more relevant to your profile and interests. So you’ll stay in the loop on stuff that actually matters to you.

If you’re not set as ‘individual’, you’ll get access to let other users become members of your account.

If you’ve got a Premium account or higher and your user type is set to ‘club’, you can offer your account members a discount on a RouteYou Plus yearly subscription. A great way to give extra value to your community.
