On RouteYou, you can use your account to link members. For clubs, restaurants, tourist organizations, sports and recreation groups, publishers, and more, that membership comes with some handy perks.
- When you join an account, you’ll automatically follow it and stay in the loop with everything going on with that account.
- Members of a Premium account—even if they’re free users—can export routes as GPX files, print them out, or navigate using the RouteYou app, with turn-by-turn directions and voice guidance.
For routes from RouteYou Pro or Enterprise accounts, this is always possible, even without membership. - Members with a Premium account or higher, and with the user type 'Club', are entitled to a RouteYou Plus annual subscription with a 30% discount thanks to their membership.
- Set your user type via the 'personal data' section of your profile.
Only “non-individual” users can allow other RouteYou users to join their account.
- Turn on the option 'Allow other users to join my organization'
FYI
If you switch off ‘Allow other users to join my organization', users won’t be able to join your account temporarily. When you switch it back on later, your existing members will still be there—you don’t have to invite them again.
- After that, your public profile page will show:
- a 'Members' section in the info box
- an extra box to the right of the info box
(see below)
What do you see as the account owner?
-
Members section
Here you can see who’s a member, who sent a request, and who you’ve invited. You can also open the module here to invite new members. -
Box next to the info box:
This opens the module where you can easily invite new members.
What does another RouteYou user see?
When someone visits your profile, they can send a membership request either through the 'Members' section or using the box next to the info card.
As the account owner, you can invite users to become members. There are two ways to do this:
- Through the 'Members' section in the info box:
Members > View > Invited > click the button 'Invite new members'
- Through the box next to the info box on your profile:
click the button 'Invite members'
How it works:
- Search by username
- Click 'Invite' next to the username
- The invitation gets sent.
- You’ll get an email and/or a notification when someone accepts your invite.
Statuses:
-
Invited > Pending
The invite was sent but not yet answered. The user appears under 'Invited > Pending'. -
Invited > Declined
The invite was declined by the user. -
The user is a member and appears under 'All'
The invite was accepted by the user.
Visiting an account with the members feature enabled? Then you can easily send a request to become a member of that club or organization’s account.
Once your request is approved, you’ll automatically get a confirmation by email or notification. From then on, you’ll enjoy all the benefits of membership — like the discount on a RouteYou Plus annual subscription.
