Opening the RouteYou app takes you to a home page where you will be greeted with your username. This page displays some useful shortcuts.
You can easily return to the default homepage at any time via the "Home" button.
In the top-right corner of the homepage, you'll find the profile button. This is the quickest way to get to your account details and personal settings. Tap this button to open your personal menu. Here you have direct access to:
- Routes: Check out your saved, created, recently viewed, and downloaded routes at a glance. You'll also find the groups you've joined or manage yourself here.
- Settings: Manage your app preferences, such as units of measurement, interface language, and voice navigation language.
- Account: Manage your personal account info or log out of the app.
- Legal: Manage your permissions here.
- Privacy Policy: View our privacy policy.
- FAQ: A direct link to the RouteYou Help Center for all your questions and support.
Use these buttons to enter choices.

"Search for a route" opens the search page . This will help you put together a choice of suitable routes in just 3 steps.

"Plan a route" takes you to the planning option where you can plot your own route on the map.

"Nodes" opens the explore option with the map zoomed in on your location and showing only the range of node routes in your area. Provided these are available at that location.
Here you will see a scrolling carousel of information cards for top routes under different activity types close to you. The “See all routes” button at the end of the scrolling carousel takes you to the Explore option zoomed in on your location.
From this horizontal bar you can choose whether you want to see walking, cycling or bridle path node routes.
If a particular type is not available (such as bridle path node route), no routes will be displayed.
You can also display the nodes on the map by enabling the 'Hiking nodes' map details option.
PLEASE NOTE
The map zooms to your current position or remembers the map position from your last search. You can easily enter a new destination via location.
RouteYou Selections are high-quality collections of routes carefully curated around a specific theme, region, or unique characteristic.
These Selections make it easier and faster to discover routes that match your interests, without having to do extensive searching yourself. Tap on a Selection to view all the included routes and get started right away.
In this section, you'll find various collections of routes linked to your account. This overview is automatically synchronized between the website and the app.
- Saved routes: here you'll find routes that you have saved.
- My creations: An overview of the routes you designed yourself with the RouteYou planner.
- Last viewed routes: Here you'll find the routes you recently opened, both via the website and in the app.
- Completed routes: These are the routes you have actually navigated with the RouteYou app.
- Offline routes: This carousel only appears when you have downloaded routes in the app for offline use. This allows you to use the app in places without an internet connection.

These route lists are also always accessible via your RouteYou app profile page.
