Use the “Discover” button to browse through more than 10 million routes on RouteYou. From there, you can narrow down your search using different filter and sort options.
The app helps you quickly find the right routes:
- The app automatically zooms in on your location, so you can immediately start discovering routes nearby.
- To keep things clear on the map, you’ll mainly see the best routes.
- The five best route matches are shown with a colored route line so they stand out even more.
- Routes with the highest ratings are highlighted with a more eye-catching icon

Move the map or zoom in/out, then tap ‘Search this area’ to discover new routes.
At first, you’ll see routes for all kinds of activities.
Explore the routes you’ve found
You can take a closer look at routes by tapping the matching icon on the map.
When you tap a route icon:
- The route icon turns red
- The full route appears and the map zooms out to show the whole track.
- At the bottom, the carousel shows a short route summary: a photo, an icon showing the route type, the title, the score, the difficulty level, the distance, the total ascent, and the estimated duration based on an average speed.
Tap the route summary box to open the route details page.
Tap the"back" button to close the details page.
Tap the route icon again to deselect the route.
At the bottom of the map, there’s a bar showing how many routes you can discover within the current map area, plus a button to adjust the sorting order.
You can drag or swipe this bar up:
A list view of the routes will appear. Each route is shown in a box with a short summary: a photo, an icon showing the route type, a small map preview, the author, title, route type, score, distance, total ascent, estimated duration, and difficulty level.
Tap one of these route boxes to open the route details page. Tap the "back" button to close it again.
To go back to the map view, you’ve got two options: tap the "Show on map" button or swipe the list down again.
