Via points

A via point or waypoint is a point along which you want your route to pass. In the route planner, these points are shown as green dots on your route.

Adding a via point
  1. Once you’ve launched the route planner, you can add a via point by:
    • simply clicking on the map with your mouse
    • entering an address in the 'from' and 'to' search bars
    • setting your current location as the destination
In each of these cases, a via point will be placed at that specific location.

  2. If you repeat the action for another location, a new via point will be added. And so on...

A route is calculated between two via points based on the selected routing settings.

Inserting a via point

Suppose you want to plan a different path between two points (A and B), follow these steps:

  1. Click on the segment between A and B and drag that point.
  2. A new via point (P) will be created where you release the mouse.
  3. The segments A–P and P–B will be recalculated based on the routing settings currently selected. Read here how to adjust them.
Moving a via point
  1. First, select the via point you want to move by clicking on it once. The point will now be active (colored red).
  2. Click the point again, hold it, and drag it to a new location (hold the left mouse button and move the mouse). The via point will be moved to where you release it.
  3. The route before and after the active point will be recalculated based on the current routing settings. Read here how to adjust them.
