The "public data" section on your profile page relates to what account information is displayed publicly: your RouteYou home screen. It includes your account name, avatar, profile description, etc.
What you can set depends on your user and account type.

Standard options
This is one of the following:
- RouteYou Free
- RouteYou Plus
- RouteYou Premium
- RouteYou Pro
- RouteYou Enterprise
Click here for a list of features specific to each account type.
Choose the language to use for your basic information here.
You can also display your profile information in other languages.
If you wish to add an additional language, choose 'Add translation' on your MyRouteYou page using the Edit button.
There is the option for automatic translation. The translated text then appears in the description box. You can edit this text manually at any time.
Your account name is displayed along with any content you add on RouteYou: routes, groups, comments, etc.
TIP
Choose a clear, representative username which says something about you or your organisation.
Provide a good, concise description. Perhaps add a photo or video to your description too, to make it more appealing.
Choose a clear image for your avatar so it can be recognised even at small scale. It is best to use a 1:1 image ratio (e.g. 120 x 120 pixels).
TIP
Avatars appear tiny in lists, so avoid small text and details.
Additional options for organisations, clubs and hospitality venues
If you use RouteYou as a club, hospitality venue, tourist organisation, sports and leisure organisation or some other professional user type, rather than as a private individual, a header and logo are displayed at the top of your RouteYou home screen.
Choose any image to upload here.
You can edit the size and position of the image using the icons on the right.
TIP
Avoid busy images or ones which include text. An image detail generally works well.
The logo is displayed at the top of your RouteYou home screen, in the centre of the header. It is best to choose an image in the ratio 2:1. An image size of 230 x 90 pixels will give best results.
Additional options for Premium/Pro/Enterprise users
With RouteYou Premium or higher you can enjoy greater visibility thanks to the following settings.
Adding a hyperlink to your logo means RouteYou users can be redirected to that link when they click on your logo.
A promo logo will appear whenever a overview map or guide is printed out for a route you created.
A promo banner will appear whenever a overview map or roadbook is printed out for a route you created.
You might choose a banner to give increased exposure to your own organisation or event. Or you might display a combination of your sponsors' logos, for instance.
Here you can link to your own social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) and other external platforms (TripAdvisor, Booking.com, etc.) where you publish content.
