Discovering routes

Use the "Discover" button to browse the more than 8,500,000 routes on RouteYou.

PLEASE NOTE
When you open the RouteYou App, it will immediately take you to the "Discover" area. The app will zoom in to your current position, so you can immediately start discovering nearby routes.

  Initially, you will see routes for any activity type.
  In order to keep the overview on the map, the best routes are usually shown.
  The routes with the highest scores are displayed with a more prominent icon route-icon-green.png
  By moving the map or zooming in or out, you can see new routes.

Further explore the routes found

View the routes in greater detail with the inspiration carousel

You can view the routes in greater detail by clicking the corresponding icon on the map.
When you click on a route icon:

  • the route icon turns redroute-icon-red.png route-icon-red_small.png
  • the complete route appears and the map zooms out so that the whole route is visible
  • a carousel with summarized route information appears at the bottom: a photo, an icon referring to the type of route, the title, the score, the difficulty level, the distance, the number of meters of elevation and the average duration according to an average speed

      When you click on the box with the route information summary, the route detail page will open.
      Click the Terug-button.png "Back" button to close the route detail page again

Click the route icon again to deselect the route.

Via list view

At the bottom of the map, there is a bar showing the number of routes to be discovered within the current map view.

  When you pull up or swipe up this bar:

   A list view of the routes will then appear. In this list view, there is a box displaying each route and brief route information: a photo, an icon referring to the type of route, an image of the route on a map, the author, the title, the type of route, the score, the distance, the number of meters of elevation, the average duration according to an average speed and the difficulty level.

  When you tap a route box, the route detail page will open. Click the Terug-button.png "Back" button to close the route detail page again

   To return to the map view, you have two options: tap the Btn-toon-kaart_EN.png "Show on map" button or swipe the list back down.
