This depends on the update settings on your phone.
You can choose to have Android apps updated one at a time, all at once, or automatically.
The benefits of updating to the latest version of an app is that you have access to the latest features and improved app security and stability.

- Open the Google Play Store app
- Tap the profile icon in the upper right
- Select "Manage apps and device" and then select "Manage"
- Tap the app you want to update
- Tap "Update
- Open the Google Play Store app

- Find the app you want to automatically update, then tap the app to open the app detail page
- Tap on the upper right
- Turn on automatic updates aan.
- Open the Google Play Store app
- Tap the profile icon in the upper right
- Select "Settings" > "Network Preferences" > "Automatically update apps"
- Select how you want apps to update automatically:
over any network: Wi-Fi or mobile data
over Wi-Fi only
do not update
On your iPhone and iPad, the apps you download from the App Store update automatically by default. But if there's a problem, you can also update an app manually.

If you prefer to update all your apps manually, turn off automatic updates. You will then receive notifications from the App Store when an update is ready for one of your apps.
- Open the App Store app
- Tap your profile icon at the top of the screen.
- Scroll to see upcoming updates and the corresponding version notes.
- Tap "Update" next to an app to update only that app or
of - tap "Update all"
- Tap "Update" next to an app to update only that app or
- Go to the "Settings" on your device
- Tap "App Store"
- Turn "App updates" on or off.
